Your Eldritch Blast damage is scaled by your warlock levels and your FvS spell damage is based on caster levels; being subpar at two forms of DPS isn't as good as being focused on one. And you can't shoot Eldritch Blasts while casting spells simultaneously.

Good morning and hello. I am Strimtom and today I bring to you today the melee warlock. I tested out the imbue thoroughly on blaster warlock and determined that investing into the imbue damage isn't going to give you great effect since you spend half your time casting spells at cap anyway and you would be better off just focusing on something else instead.Chain costs less AP and can hit around corners but does less damage and hits way less targets. Most people only use Chain during the leveling when they can afford Chain and until Cone is available. Eldritch Blast is a spell, not a weapon attack. It ignores all melee stats but uses spellpower, Evocation DCs, and spell crit.Cone warlock have more damage on a short time. This with evard tentacles is a blast for leveling but have a more melee feel. Auralock need more investment on defensive past lifes but this is the lazyiest way to play DDO. Warlock is killer regardless of race. Most of the gear is easy enough to farm, so just go for it. Worry about min max once you have a few more lives under your belt. Get the code to open all the quests then get to ravenloft ASAP to find a burnscar sash. After that Easy (and even without it) easy road.
Bow build people keep saying it´s fine. Inquisitive is a little behind but still playable. Barbarian and paladin are fine. Paladin vistani is fine. Alchemist is great is well build even with few past lifes, sorc works fine but it´s not great for high reaper. I'm interested in trying a Tiefling warlock, I was going to go with strimtom's starter build ( … kj adams age So, specific build advice: Fey is inherently sucky because A) Reflex save so mobs can evade you entirely, and B) no Burnscar equivalent for Sonic, so you're always doing less damage than GOO.
